Meis Kaş Swim Race
On June 28, 2026, the Aegean will become a bridge you swim across as the Meis–Kaş Swim Marathon returns as a cross-border open-water classic. Part of the International Lycia–Kaş Culture & Arts Festival, this event connects Meis (Kastellorizo) and Kaş with the iconic 7K crossing—first staged in 2005 to celebrate neighborly friendship and shared sea culture. For different levels, the program also includes 1K and 3.5K races for adults, plus a 100 m kids swim.
This is sports tourism at its purest: you race in crystal-blue water, then you spend the rest of the day in Kaş—harbor walks, café time, and that relaxed Mediterranean rhythm that makes you forget what day it is. Even if you’re not swimming, you’ll still want to be there—because watching athletes arrive from the horizon is unforgettable, and Kaş turns the whole day into a seaside festival you’ll want to stay for.
