Where the Sea Meets the Sky
Day One Ignites in Kemer
The roar of engines mixed with the crash of Mediterranean waves as the 16th edition of Sea to Sky Enduro launched beneath Antalya’s autumn sun. On Kındıl Beach, the world’s top hard enduro riders lined up where sand meets surf, turning Türkiye’s turquoise coast into a natural amphitheater of speed, grit, and spectacle.

This year’s race marks the 5th stop of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, drawing 382 riders from 37 countries to a destination where sea level is just the starting line. Over three days, competitors will climb from the shoreline to the 2,365-meter summit of Tahtalı Mountain, carving their way through beaches, forests, and alpine ridges—a journey that mirrors the region’s dramatic geography.

Spectators packed the beach as the engines roared to life. The opening day was fast and furious: British Red Bull rider Billy Bolt dominated the Beach Race, claiming the top spot ahead of fellow Brit Mitch Brightmore and Germany’s Manuel Lettenbichler. For many, it was the perfect curtain-raiser to a race that’s as much about landscape as it is about horsepower.

Sea to Sky has evolved into more than a race. Set against the backdrop of Kemer’s sparkling coastline and the towering Beydağları mountains, it has become a signature moment on Türkiye’s sporting calendar—an event that fuses elite competition with the country’s growing adventure-tourism appeal. Riders will now head inland for the 42 km Forest Race, where pine-lined singletracks and river crossings await, before the legendary mountain ascent on the final day.

As the sun set over the Mediterranean, the beach quieted, but the anticipation didn’t. Today, the race moves into the woods. By the weekend, the world will be watching riders climb from the sea to the sky.
