Rising Stars Shine Bright

The turquoise waters of Türkiye’s Mediterranean coast provided a fitting backdrop as the European Aquatics Diving Championships concluded in Antalya. Over six days of breathtaking competition at the Gloria Sports Arena, Europe’s diving elite delivered a spectacle of precision, power, and grace.

The final day crowned Spain and Poland with their first medals of the championships—both golden. Valeria Antolino and Ana Carvajal claimed victory in the women’s 10m platform synchro, while Andrzej Rzeszutek of Poland triumphed in the men’s 3m springboard, sparking jubilant celebrations.

Ukraine Dominates, Germany Takes the Trophy
With five golds overall, Ukraine secured the top spot on the medal table, further cementing their position as a European diving powerhouse. But it was Germany—with 12 total medals, including three golds—that claimed the prestigious Championships Trophy, a testament to their consistency and depth.

Italy rounded out the top three, with eight medals and a showcase of promising young talent, signaling a bright future for the sport across the continent.

Antalya Shines as a Global Stage
Hosting its first stand-alone European Diving Championships, Türkiye proved its ability to deliver world-class sporting events with elegance and precision. The Gloria Sports Arena’s Olympic-standard facilities drew praise from athletes and officials alike, while Antalya’s warm hospitality and stunning scenery left a lasting impression on visiting teams and fans.

“This was not just a competition—it was a celebration of excellence and unity,” said European Aquatics President Antonio Silva. “Antalya has set a new standard.”

Athletes to Watch
The event saw rising stars like Britain’s Noah Penman, who took silver in the men’s 3m springboard, and Spain’s 18-year-old Ana Carvajal, whose synchronized partnership with Antolino produced one of the championship’s most emotional moments.
