Konya Hosts UCI Nations Cup
In the heart of Anatolia, where ancient history meets modern goals, the city of Konya entered the world stage. It hosted the 2025 UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup and welcomed over 300 top cyclists from 44 countries across five continents.
For three exciting days, the Konya Velodrome was more than just a sports venue. It became a stage for speed, tactics, and powerful stories. Under its modern, Olympic-approved roof, wheels turned fast, records were broken, and nations competed for pride.
The loudest moment came when Yuan Liying from China broke the women’s sprint world record. This was a historic event for both world cycling and Turkish sports. In the final race, Türkiye’s own Ramazan Yılmaz gave a brave performance that made the fans stand up and cheer. It showed the world that new stars are rising from these lands.
