IRONMAN 70.3 Türkiye 2025: Where Endurance Meets Enchantment

A Global Stage on the Turquoise Coast

The Mediterranean sun rose over Belek as more than 1,800 athletes from 94 countries gathered for the 11th edition of IRONMAN 70.3 Türkiye — a race that has evolved into one of the most atmospheric and visually stunning events on the global triathlon calendar.

From the turquoise waters of Kadriye Beach, competitors launched into a 1.9 km swim, followed by a 90 km ride through the pine-lined roads of Antalya’s coast, and a final 21 km run that wound through the spectacular Land of Legends Resort, where music, laughter, and applause blurred the line between sport and spectacle.

Winners Among the Waves and Wonders

In the men’s category, Sam Barley (GBR) claimed victory ahead of Konstantin Akhidov (KAZ) and Anton Lytvynenko (UKR). In the women’s field, Mariia Kurchenko (KGZ) crossed the finish line first, followed by Jordan Matthews (GBR) and Gabriele Garbauskaite (LTU).

But what defined the day was not just competition — it was connection. As athletes raced through the resort’s grand avenues, cafés overflowed with guests who hadn’t planned to witness a triathlon at all. Some were travelers drawn by the Land of Legends’ fairytale architecture, shopping boulevard, and Venetian-style canal — yet they found themselves swept into the rhythm of cheering crowds, discovering a new kind of adventure in the heart of Antalya.

Where Every Finish Feels Like a Fairy Tale

When the final athletes crossed the line, the day’s magic reached its peak. Medalists glided along the waterway in gondola boats, their medals presented in front of the resort’s shimmering Château, a ceremony that felt lifted from a storybook.

Children had their own moment to shine earlier that day: the Kids’ Run, held along the Land of Legends Shopping Avenue, turned the boulevard into a mini-stadium of joy. Parents, visitors, and tourists cheered side by side, proving that in Belek, sport belongs to everyone.

A Destination Where Sport and Tourism Converge

Beyond competition, IRONMAN 70.3 Türkiye embodies the spirit of modern Türkiye — vibrant, welcoming and world-class. The event highlights how Antalya has become a beacon for sports tourism, hosting athletes and families in equal measure.

Every corner of Belek tells a story: the scent of the sea in the early swim start, the rhythm of wheels racing past citrus groves, and the sound of spectators clapping from hotel balconies and riverside cafés. Even two nights earlier, athletes celebrated Halloween under Mediterranean skies — a reminder that this event is as much about joy as endurance.

Beyond the Finish Line

For visitors, Belek offers more than a race — it’s an invitation to experience Türkiye’s warm hospitality, its world-renowned resorts, and its blend of modern energy and timeless beauty. From ancient Perge to the luxury avenues of the Land of Legends, every detail speaks to a destination designed for discovery.

Next year, when the starting horn echoes once more across Antalya’s coast, thousands will return — some as athletes, others as travelers who came once just to watch and left with a new dream.

Because in Türkiye, the race doesn’t end at the finish line — it lives on in every memory, every wave, and every heart that felt its rhythm.
