The sun-soaked shores of Türkiye’s Oba Beach in Alanya became the epicenter of thrilling action as the EHF Beach Handball EURO 2025 crowned its new champions. Over several days of fierce competition, Europe’s elite beach handball teams battled under Antalya’s golden light, culminating in historic wins for Spain’s women and Germany’s men.

Spain’s Women Break Through for Historic Gold
After years of coming tantalizingly close, Spain’s women finally stood atop the podium, claiming their first European title in dramatic fashion. The final against Norway had it all—momentum swings, defensive masterclasses, and a nerve-wracking shootout.

Final Score: Norway vs Spain 1:2 (24:20, 16:28, 6:9)

With the sets split, the shootout saw Norway falter as Cornelia Haugen’s shot hit the post, opening the door for Spain. Sara Hernandez coolly converted the decisive penalty, securing gold and sparking jubilant celebrations on the sand.
