European Gymnastics Championships Begin
The European Artistic Gymnastics Championship, in which 319 athletes from 39 countries competed, started in Antalya Sports Hall.
Men's Adem Asil, Ahmet Önder, Ferhat Arıcan, Mehmet Ayberk Koşak, Kerem Şener, Hasan Bulut, and women's Sevgi Seda Kayışoğlu, Bengisu Yıldız, Ceren Biner, Derin Tanrıyaşükür, Bilge Tarhan represent Türkiye. The championship will conclude on April 16.
On the first day of the championship, the men's individual apparatus qualifying and team finals were held. Şampiyonada Italy took gold with 249.526 points, Türkiye took silver with 248.262 points, and England took bronze with 246.961 points. The athletes were awarded medals during a ceremony held following their performances.
The Artistic Gymnastics Men's Team Türkiye, which won second place in Europe, repeated its success in being on the podium after second place in 2020 and third place in 2022. Türkiye has appeared on the European podium three times in the last four tournaments as a team.
