Where Dreams Took Flight and Futures Found Their Spark
The 2025 European Para Youth Games have officially come to a close in Istanbul, leaving behind more than just medals—it left memories, momentum, and a message: the future of para sports is bold, diverse, and full of promise.

From July 21–28, over 700 young para-athletes from 33 countries gathered for the largest and most vibrant edition in the Games' history. With nine disciplines—including Para Athletics, Swimming, Archery, Judo, and Wheelchair Basketball—this was more than a multi-sport event. It was a celebration of ability, unity, and hope.

Türkiye welcomed the biggest delegation with 138 athletes, 50% of whom were girls—marking a proud milestone in gender equality. The event was powered not only by competition, but also by connection: through educational sessions, mental health workshops, and inclusive celebrations that lit up the host city.

The opening ceremony set the tone—joyful, heartfelt, and unforgettable. The closing days were equally emotional. Beyond the podiums and national flags, what truly stood out was the resilience, courage, and camaraderie of Europe’s rising para stars.

As Türkiye looks toward a future that may include hosting the 2036 Paralympic Games, Istanbul 2025 was more than a success—it was a statement.

This wasn’t the final chapter. It was the beginning of something much greater.
