Antalya Shines on Global Stage
As Türkiye’s Mediterranean sun bathed Antalya Beach Park in golden light, the world’s finest archers took aim in a week of intense competition and emotional victories at the 2025 Hyundai Archery World Cup Stage 3. From unexpected upsets to resounding triumphs, Antalya provided the perfect stage where precision met passion.

Kim Woojin Leads Korea to Double Gold
After a surprising early exit in the men’s individual event, Korean archer Kim Woojin showed why he remains one of the sport’s greatest, helping Korea clinch gold in both the recurve men’s team and mixed team events.
In a thrilling men’s team final, Woojin—alongside Olympic champions Lee Woo Seok and Kim Je Deok—overcame Germany in a tense shoot-off. Moments later, he partnered with Lim Sihyeon to dispatch Germany’s mixed team pairing 6-2, cementing a dominant showing for Korea.
“Sports are unpredictable, and that’s why people love archery,” Woojin reflected. “It happened, but I’ll make sure it never happens again.”

D’Almeida’s Redemption in Antalya
Brazil’s Marcus D’Almeida erased memories of last year’s narrow shoot-off loss to Woojin, delivering a flawless 6-0 victory in the recurve men’s final. Calm and unshaken, D’Almeida’s clinical precision across the week secured his spot in the season’s grand finale in Nanjing.
“It’s been a big party week for my family. To bring home gold in Antalya makes it even more special,” said D’Almeida, who dedicated the win to his mother and sister, both celebrating birthdays during the event.

Korean Women Dominate Once Again
Olympic Champion Lim Sihyeon continued her reign in women’s recurve, defeating teammate and Tokyo 2020 gold medallist An San in straight sets for her second consecutive World Cup stage win. USA’s Casey Kaufhold took bronze after overcoming Japan’s Waka Sonoda, adding to her growing World Cup medal collection.

Antalya: A Jewel for Global Sport
More than a battleground for archery’s elite, Antalya showcased its allure as a premier destination for international sport. Its sun-kissed beaches, turquoise waters, and world-class venues reaffirm Türkiye’s growing role in the global sports calendar.
As fans and athletes depart, the city leaves behind more than memories—it leaves a legacy of precision, resilience, and the timeless beauty of sport on the Mediterranean shores.
