There is not much information about the 1882-built Santa Maria Della Vittoria. It is known that there is a Roman church with identical name as the ship, meaning “Saint Mary of Victory”, and in this church, the booties gained by the Ottoman army during the 2nd Vienna Siege are exhibited.
The ship, which was sunk on July 30, 1915 in order to create a sheltered port, is waiting with all its magnificence and mystery for the beauties hidden in the depths of the sea to be discovered.
