Bursa is 36 kilometers away. Uludağ, located in the country's south, is the most popular winter sports destination. Uludağ, which was designated a national park in 1961 due to the richness of its flora and fauna, offers summer camping, trekking, hiking, and daily picnic activities in addition to winter tourism. In mythology, Uludağ, also known as Olympos Mysios in ancient times, was the location where the Gods watched the Trojan War. The Uludağ ski center has ideal geographical conditions for Alpine and Nordic disciplines, as well as "tour skiing" and "helicopter skiing" applications. Aside from skiing, other activities such as snowboarding, big foot, ice skating, and snowmobiling are available.
Uludag is the largest ski center in Türkiye. Tourists come here because of the road conditions, the presence of snow during the long winter season (October-April), and the unique landscapes. The open-air view of Istanbul, the Marmara Sea, and nearby places from the mountain's peak distinguishes this location. Because of the presence of hot water sources on the eastern and northern outskirts of the Bursa Plain, hot springs formed here. Many diseases are cured by these hot springs in Bursa's Çekirge district. In 2014, the cable car was completely renovated and expanded to the Kurbaakaya (Hotels) area.
Uludag Summit is 2543 meters above sea level. Athletes can reach this peak by camping for a day or a few days. There are numerous tracks on the Uludag Summit stage.
