Tour of Istanbul 2026

Istanbul will bring international road cycling across four very different city landscapes on September 3–6, 2026, as Tour of Istanbul 2026 returns for its fourth edition. With 391.9 kilometers of racing across four stages, the event will place professional cyclists on a route shaped by endurance, climbing, technical riding, time-trial precision, and the unmatched geography of a city between continents.

The race will open with the 165.1K Silivri to Çatalca stage, where rolling roads, short climbs, wind, and team tactics will set the tone from the European side of the city. The second stage will move to Şile, with a 149.9K course shaped by Black Sea roads, climbing sections, descents, and changing terrain. The third stage will bring the peloton into the Historic Peninsula, where the 86.2K Fatih stage will turn Istanbul’s old-city streets into a high-tempo criterium-style race. The final day will be decided in Beykoz, with a short but sharp 7.5K individual time trial through forest roads where every second will matter.

The start list will give the race strong international depth, with teams from 10 countries and a peloton featuring WorldTeam, ProTeam, and Continental representation. But the Tour of Istanbul will be more than a cycling race. It will also be a moving showcase of the city: Silivri’s open roads, Şile’s Black Sea edge, Fatih’s historic layers, and Beykoz’s green side will all appear in the same four-day story. Even if you are not racing, you will still want to follow this event—because the Tour of Istanbul will turn professional cycling into a citywide journey where speed, strategy, history, coastlines, forest roads, and Istanbul’s global energy move together.
