Intersport Mesopotamia Trail Run

On April 18, 2026, we return to the heart of Mesopotamia, where every stone and horizon carries the weight of civilizations. The Intersport Mesopotamia Trail Run brings runners across Mardin and Midyat through four distinct courses shaped by culture, landscape, and time — a journey where endurance meets heritage.

5K Gate of the Sun: Starting from Cumhuriyet Square, the route flows past the Zinciriye and Hatuniye Madrasahs, the Sabancı City Museum, and the Ulu Mosque before looping back — a short but powerful immersion into Mardin’s ancient rhythm.

15K Mesopotamia Route: A deeper passage through the timeless paths surrounding the Kasimiye Madrasah and the historic stone streets of old Mardin.

40K Caravan Route: A long-distance journey stretching toward the golden stones of the Deyrulzafaran Monastery and the panoramic ridges of the Old Fortress, following the echoes of ancient caravan trails.

90K Midyat Ultra: Beginning in Anıtlı Village, this epic course connects Mor Sobo, the Virgin Mary Church, Mor Gabriel, and Mor Yakup Monasteries — a spiritual and physical expedition across sacred lands.

From narrow alleyways to sweeping valleys, monastic plateaus to caravan routes, every step reveals another layer of Mesopotamia’s living history.
