European Jigsaw Puzzle Championship

Istanbul will host one of Europe’s most distinctive mind-sport gatherings on November 27–29, 2026, as the European Jigsaw Puzzle Championship 2026 (EJPC) takes place at the historic Sepetçiler Pavilion on the city’s Historic Peninsula. Held under the European Committee for Jigsaw Puzzling (ECJP) framework, the championship will bring competitors, teams, and puzzle fans together for three days of focus, speed, strategy, and quiet intensity.

This will not be a passive hobby weekend. Competitive jigsaw puzzling is built around concentration, pattern recognition, communication, timing, and the pressure of the clock. Across individual and team formats, participants will race to complete images piece by piece, turning a tabletop challenge into a live competition where every second and every small decision matters. Hosted by Yeşilay, with Anatolian Puzzle as sponsor, Puzzle Association coordination, and Idea Factory organization, EJPC 2026 will also highlight the community spirit behind the sport.

Istanbul will give the championship an extraordinary setting. Sepetçiler Pavilion places visitors within walking distance of the city’s most iconic layers: the Bosphorus, Gülhane, Sirkeci, Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern, Eminönü, and the ferry routes that turn the waterfront into a living postcard. After the competition, the weekend can continue with historic streets, Turkish coffee, waterfront cafes, and the evening lights of the Golden Horn. You do not need to compete to feel the pull of this event—because EJPC Istanbul will turn speed-puzzling into a European championship weekend where focus, community, history, and the rhythm of the city all click into place.
