Cappadocia Bike Festival

Cappadocia will turn into a cycling playground on July 18–19, 2026, as the Cappadocia Bike Festival brings riders to one of Türkiye’s most extraordinary landscapes. Starting and finishing in Ürgüp, the festival will offer a full weekend of road, gravel, and mountain bike experiences shaped by volcanic valleys, fairy chimneys, stone roads, and wide Central Anatolian horizons.

The program will open on July 18 with the Grand Ride by Salcano, a long-distance tour designed for amateur cyclists who want both challenge and scenery. On July 19, the energy will shift to off-road adventure with Gravel & E-Gravel and MTB & E-MTB routes, where mixed surfaces, climbs, dust, and technical sections will turn the ride into a true Cappadocian test.

But this weekend will not belong only to cyclists. Cappadocia is already a world-class destination, known for its UNESCO-listed landscapes, cave settlements, underground cities, rock-cut churches, and sunrise balloon views. Between rides, visitors can explore Ürgüp, Göreme, Uçhisar, Avanos, and the region’s valleys, then end the day with one of Cappadocia’s signature flavors: testi kebab, cooked and served in a clay pot. Even if you are not riding, you will still want to be here—because Cappadocia turns a cycling festival into a journey through stone, sky, history, and flavor.
