Bodrum Half Marathon

Bodrum will turn running into a Mediterranean city experience on October 2–4, 2026, as the Bodrum Half Marathon brings athletes to one of Türkiye’s most iconic coastal destinations. With 21K Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K distances, the event will offer runners a race weekend shaped by sea views, historic landmarks, whitewashed streets, marina energy, and the unmistakable rhythm of Bodrum.

All routes will start from Bodrum Square and carry runners toward the marina before reaching the historic Myndos Gate. The 21K course will continue through Bitez and Konacık, giving athletes a broader look at the peninsula before bringing together Bodrum’s coastal scenery, the ancient atmosphere of the Bodrum Amphitheater, Kumbahçe Beach, and the İçmeler direction. The 10K and 5K routes will offer shorter but still memorable city-running experiences, connecting the marina, Myndos Gate, Bodrum’s views, the old town feeling, and the finish-line energy in the heart of the city.

Bodrum will make the weekend much more than a race. Visitors can explore Bodrum Castle, the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, Myndos Gate, ancient theaters, narrow streets, gulets, beaches, and the town’s famous nightlife. The local table will be part of the journey too: Çökertme kebab (Bodrum-style matchstick potato beef kebap), keşkek (Anatolian slow-cooked wheat & meat porridge), otlu gözleme (Anatolian wild greens & herb stuffed flatbread), Bodrum mandalins, local herb dishes, and long seaside dinners will complete the experience. Even if you are not running, you will still want to be here—because the Bodrum Half Marathon will turn an October race weekend into a coastal story of history, sea air, white houses, local flavor, and Mediterranean energy.
