Alanya Ultra Trail

On March 27–28, 2026, the Alanya Ultra Trail brings the world of mountain running to the Turkish Riviera, where the Mediterranean meets the Taurus Mountains. Starting at sea level on Cleopatra Beach and climbing 3,905 meters through technical terrain and ancient caravan routes, this is not just a race—it's a journey through millennia of history, where every footstep follows the path of nomadic Yörük tribes and every breath carries the shift between seasons.

Founded in 2017 by legendary Turkish mountain runner Ahmet Arslan—known as the "Lion of the Mountains"—the event has quickly become one of Türkiye's most distinguished ultra trail competitions. Offering UTMB Index and ITRA points across five categories (68K, 42K, 27K, 18K, and the newly added 5K Alanya Castle Run), the course weaves through iconic landmarks including Alanya Castle, the Red Tower, and ancient shipyards. Beyond the finish line, six lucky participants will take to the skies for a helicopter experience, witnessing from above the very terrain they conquered on foot.
