Adana International Liberation Half Marathon
On January 11, 2026, runners return to the streets of Adana for one of the most distinctive races of the global calendar — the first half-marathon of the year. Held on the Sunday following Adana’s Liberation Day, the Adana International Liberation Half Marathon blends athletic challenge with historical significance, offering a race defined by memory, culture, and resilience.
The event features a 21K Half Marathon, 10K, a Public Run, and a Kids Run held on January 10. The course moves through the city’s defining landmarks, following a route shaped by Adana’s warm winter light and its deep-rooted heritage. Runners experience the living rhythm of a city that has carried centuries of stories along the Seyhan River and through its historic avenues.
And as always, crossing the finish line in Adana comes with a reward beyond the medal: the chance to savor the flavors of Türkiye’s gastronomy capital. From seasoned elite athletes to wheelchair competitors and first-time runners, the marathon welcomes participants from around the world into a celebration of endurance and culture.
The first kilometers of the year begin here — where history runs beside you, and taste completes the journey.
