3rd International Tour of Route Salvation
This summer, the city of Samsun—where Türkiye’s War of Independence began—will once again welcome the world to the crossroads of history and endurance. From August 27 to 30, 2025, the 3rd International Tour of Route Salvation will bring together 17 teams and 150 riders from 6 continents for a four-stage challenge covering nearly 600 kilometers across 17 districts.
Classified as a UCI 2.2 event, the race will take cyclists from the shores of the Black Sea through rolling plains, cultural landmarks, and historic sites—culminating on August 30, Victory Day, with a symbolic and emotional finish at the Tütün İskelesi. This year’s edition carries additional weight as Samsun was recently awarded the İstiklal Medal by the Turkish Grand National Assembly, honoring its role as the starting point of the nation’s struggle for independence.
With the motto “Smoke-Free Life,” the event promotes not only cycling and endurance, but also a culture of health and awareness. A special children’s stage will also introduce young riders to the spirit of the tour, making this event as inclusive as it is inspiring.
