2026 ILCA Under 21 European Championships

Bodrum will welcome the next generation of European sailing talent on October 9–16, 2026, as the 2026 ILCA Under 21 European Championships & Open European Trophy take place on Türkiye’s Aegean coast. Bringing together young sailors in one of the country’s strongest maritime destinations, the championship will combine technical racing, tactical decision-making, wind reading, and the discipline of high-level one-design sailing.

The Under 21 category gives this event a special energy. These athletes will not only be racing for results; they will be building experience, confidence, and international rhythm at a key stage in their sailing careers. In ILCA racing, small decisions matter: the start, the wind shifts, the boat handling, the mark roundings, and the ability to stay calm under pressure can all shape the outcome. Bodrum’s wind, water, and open-sea character will make every race day demanding and memorable.

Bodrum will give the championship a natural destination identity. Between race days, visitors can explore Bodrum Castle, the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, the marina, gulet culture, Aegean bays, seaside restaurants, and the relaxed rhythm of the peninsula. Local flavors such as Çökertme kebab (Bodrum-style matchstick potato beef kebap), fresh seafood, herb mezes, otlu gözleme (Anatolian wild greens & herb stuffed flatbread) and Bodrum mandarins will complete the experience.
