1920 Run

Ankara will mark a meaningful anniversary on the run: the “1920 Run” (1920 Koşusu) will take place on Sunday, April 5, 2026, as part of Anadolu Agency’s 106th-year celebrations. The 10K will start at 10:00 in front of the Anadolu Agency Headquarters, loop around the Anıtkabir area, and finish back at the same point—an iconic capital-city course where history and sport share the same avenue. The race will also be broadcast live on TRT Spor Yıldız.

For sports travelers, this one is pure Ankara: run in the morning, then spend the rest of the day in the city’s most story-rich corners—Anıtkabir, the old-city feel of Ulus, and the restored streets of Hamamönü—where Ankara’s calm confidence shows up in museums, cafés, and long, walkable boulevards.
